Central Park, Prospect Park, and Queens Zoos October 27-28
Go batty for Halloween! Central Park Zoo visitors can watch animal residents devour Halloween treats. Take a “Spooktacular” trip through the Prospect Park Zoo’s legendary haunted barn. At the Queens Zoo, encounter creepy creatures while enjoying face painting and crafts.

A MARVELOUS MATCH
All five of WCS’s wildlife parks are open year-round and fall is a wonderful time to visit the Bronx Zoo, New York Aquarium, Central Park, Prospect Park, and Queens Zoos. Enjoy the Bronx Zoo’s Wild Asia Monorail, Skyfari, Zoo Shuttle, Butterfly Garden, and Children’s Zoo before these seasonal attractions close on November 4.

HOLIDAY LIGHTS: STRINGING OF THE LIGHTS
November 3, 8:00 am to 1:00 pm
Join us while we string the lights for the Bronx Zoo’s annual holiday celebration. We seek up to 150 volunteers, ages 15 and older, to transform the Zoo into a festive setting. Refreshments will be served. To register as a volunteer, please call 718.741.1190 or e-mail memberevents@wcs.org by October 31. Pre-registration is required.

With our sea lions back, Holiday Lights will be even more spectacular this season! Stroll along newly restored historic Astor Court, ride our Bug Carousel and visit monkeys, camels, reindeer, tigers, and reptiles all the while enjoying the larger-than-life animal, holiday, and dinosaur light displays twinkling throughout the Zoo. Revel in ice carving demonstrations, storytelling, costumed characters, caroling, and an illuminated version of Eric Carle’s classic children’s book, “The Very Hungry Caterpillar” in our Butterfly Garden.
Remember, every night is Members’ Night at Holiday Lights! WCS Members always enjoy free admission to Holiday Lights.
